Baby Bird

As I was sitting outside in my backyard, I noticed a baby bird and a mamma bird hopping around in the grass. The mamma bird was in search of food as the baby followed closely behind. When the mamma bird grabbed worms from the ground, it quickly turned and fed the baby that followed. They continued this pattern all throughout the yard. Wherever mamma went, the baby followed.

The Lord showed me that in the same way, we as children of God, must follow Jesus closely in order to receive what it is we need. The baby bird didn’t roam the yard alone looking for food, it only followed. The Lord has all we need and when we follow Him closely and trust Him, there is provision, protection, and peace.

Be obedient and move when He moves. Stay close in obedience, stay close in prayer, and stay close to His Word.
