Allow the Savior to Save

Do you wait until you’re healed before you go to the doctor? Do you wait for your best hair day before you go to the salon? Do you wait until you have a brand new car before you go get your oil changed? Do you wait until you know everything before you go to school? No! Then why do we think we have wait until we have ourselves all together before we go to the Savior?

Who He is, is what He does… He saves us! He saves us from ourselves. He saves us from our sins. He saves us from eternal damnation. He saves us from things we don’t even know we need saving from!

Come as you are should not only refer to the clothes you wear to a building, it should also refer to the condition of every part of your being. If you’re sad, don’t wait until you’re happy to seek the Savior. If you’re broke, don’t wait until your wealthy before you worship. If you messed up, don’t wait until you get everything right to run to the Redeemer.

There is nothing you’re experiencing that God can’t handle and there’s nothing you have done that can separate you from His love. God doesn’t love us because of what we’ve done; He loves us in spite of what we’ve done. He doesn’t give to us because we’re good; He gives to us because He’s gracious. There would be no need for His forgiveness if we were flawless, and there would have been no need for His sacrifice if we were sinless.

Jesus has already died for you. He has already shed His blood for you. He has already made a way for you, and the Father already has a plan for you. So, stop self-sabotaging. Rest from trying to be self-righteous. Discontinue attempting to be your own deliverer. Stop trying to work to be worthy. End your efforts to erase your errors. Halt from hiding to appear holy. Quit questioning if you will be equipped. Relinquish your routine of being religious. Pause from pursuing your own plan. Just receive God’s love. Accept His grace. And allow the Savior to save.
