Giving Birth

When is a good time to have a baby? Anyone who's ever had one knows there's never really a good time in the natural to have one. We'll always be able to find a "reason" to continue to put it off. Our career is just getting started. We're working toward a promotion. Our finances aren't in order. Our house isn't big enough. We don't have enough help. The list could go on and on. However, at some point, you'll have to be willing to give life to the desire God's conceived inside of you. Sure, they'll be work you'll need to do. They'll be adjustments that are required. And they'll be sacrifices you'll have to make. But, they'll all be worth it once you have pushed through the pain.

Well I just gave birth three days ago, and let me tell you, it was definitely a labor of love! I had been pregnant for years. I tried to induce labor two years ago and this baby just would not come. There was obviously more growth and development that needed to take place before it could make its way into the world. Three weeks ago the Holy Spirit gave me a heads-up that it was time and I spent last week experiencing non-stop contractions. Lots of extremely late nights. Delayed responses to emails, texts, and phone calls. And countless other things that just had to be temporarily put on hold, all so I could help ensure a healthy delivery.

What did I name my baby? Purpose Training Academy! It's an online school to help you develop your potential so you can fulfill your purpose. I would have never chosen to give birth in the middle of a global pandemic. This isn't even what I envisioned my baby looking like when it was conceived all those years ago. But I know God's timing is perfect and this baby looks just like its Daddy!

I know I'm not the only one who's experiencing this. There's others of you out there who are just like me. Pregnant with purpose. Prepared to push. Trying to practice patience. And still no baby.

Allow God to bring your baby full term. Don't try to give birth prematurely. Even though it never really feels like there's a good time to have a baby in the natural, there's always God's perfect timing in the supernatural. And let me tell you... once He says it's time, you'll give birth to a baby that's exceedingly, abundantly more than anything you could ever ask, imagine, or think.
